Amaç

The purpose of the First and Emergency Aid Program is to train auxiliary health personnel who can provide basic and advanced life support to patients and injured people in pre-hospital emergency services, who can perform life-saving medical interventions and prevent permanent disabilities in patients, who can plan and implement the appropriate emergency response approach, and who can ensure that patients and injured people arrive safely at hospitals by ambulance.

Kayıt ve Kabul Koşulları

Every student who scores 150 or above in the TYT Score Type is eligible to apply.

Mezuniyet Koşulları

In order to obtain an associate degree in Primary and Emergency Care, students must successfully complete all required courses in the program (equivalent to a total of 124 ECTS credits) and have a general weighted grade point average of at least 2.00 out of 4.00.

Önceki Öğrenimin Tanınması

Students may apply for exemption from courses they have taken and passed at a previously enrolled higher education institution or an institution with recognized equivalency. Exemption requests are decided by the board of directors, where necessary, after consulting with the instructor teaching the relevant course.

Üst Dereceye Geçiş

Graduates who wish to continue their education can transfer to relevant undergraduate programs if they pass the Vertical Transfer Exam administered by ÖSYM. These programs include: • Emergency Aid and Disaster Management • Nursing • Health Management • Social Work

Ölçme ve Değerlendirme

Success in a course is determined by the course grade. The course grade is calculated by evaluating the student's performance on midterm exams, substitute assignments, practical exercises, group work, and similar work throughout the semester, along with the final exam. Journals kept in the First and Emergency Aid Professional Practice I and II courses, along with evaluations and practical/theoretical exams administered by the instructor and the institution, will be used for assessment and evaluation.

Eğitim Öğretim Metotları

Öğretme – öğrenme yöntem ve stratejileri, öğrencilerin kendi kendine çalışma, yaşam boyu öğrenme, gözlem yapma, başkasına öğretme, sunma, eleştirel düşünme, takım çalışması, bilişimden etkin yararlanma gibi becerilerini arttıracak şekilde seçilmektedir.
